Our aim is to develop a validated control system in which the efficiency of individual functions is ensured by a viable prioritisation structure.

IBAF supports machine and system manufacturers in the development of control technology from the initial concept to the tested system, employing state-of-the-art metrology and simulation methods for analysis, design and validation.

Concept development

Based on the requirements of our customers, we develop control concepts for everything from the implementation of individual machine functions to complete machine control systems, with the sensors, actuators and safety concepts duly adapted to the operating conditions of the machine. And we will write your control software, the algorithms and the system rules. 


We support you in the design and programming of control systems within modern development environments such as:

  • CoDeSys
  • Matlab/Simulink
  • LabView
  • Siemens TIA Portal

We can handle the updating and porting of existing source codes just as well as manufacturer-independent PLC programming in IEC 61131-3 languages. And we can develop PC-based control programs, visualisation systems and real-time 3D models for connection to control systems.

Systematic testing as the key to improved software

Software quality is evaluated and verified at every stage of development through automated tests accompanying the process, with both HIL and SIL modes available. We create real-time simulation models, apply restbus simulation of control components that are not present in the hardware loop, and integrate models from different sources into HIL/SIL environments. The software system can thus be effectively tested and validated on the basis of simulation models.
